The other day, E and I were talking. We had been studying the states for R's homework. E wanted to impress a friend with her new knowledge, but wanted to double check some information first. E asked,"Tanner is the capital of Texas, right?" I thought,"Tanner? Who has ever heard of Tanner, TX?" Then, I opened my mouth and said, "The capital of Texas isn't Tanner. It's Austin." The light bulb turned on. Tanner. Austin. Those are the names of the neighbor boys. E had remembered it was one of their names. She had just chosen the wrong boy.
Tonight, I told her that the capital of Nevada was Carson City. E said, "Yeah, right Mom." It took awhile to convince her I was serious. Carson is yet another brother. When E did believe me, she looked at me and asked, "Is McKenna the capital of some place too?" Not that I know of sweetheart.

TOO Funny!
cute story!
Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! Okay! That is hilarious!
Hi, Karen! Just found out you linked to mine and Jord's blogs (is that even a proper sentence?). I loved seeing your pics and your cute girls. Hope all is well for you guys! I still remember all our 8th ward YW days and the coolest YW leader ever!
What a cute story -- and what a good memorizing tool, when it works.
So cute (The sorks are famous). I love writing down all the cute things my kids say. I have a new one to blog about soon. Hey thanks for the comment. Notice, I took my "Baywatch" pose off. My hubby would have freaked if he knew I had put that on there. It was a joke that Diana even took that of me. ha ha And NO, I don't work out (maybe i should).
How funny! Glad to see you're back on to blogging again!
