We Begin With the End

Welcome to our blog! Our first entry is about the end of the school year and all it's events.

Rachel graduated from preschool. This was our first experience having a child "Officially" graduate. It was so fun listening to Rachel sing all the songs she's learned. Then the children were excused to get ready for graduation. They piously marched back in wearing their blue gowns (the old BYU blue, very appropriate). They were called up and handed diplomas. Rachel opened hers afterward and said, "Hey, they gave me the wrong diploma. This one is blank." All of her friends looked at theirs and they were pretty upset until us parents explained that they would get a real one later.

Elizabeth is finished with Second grade! On the last day of school we met Elizabeth at the door. Her teachers, Mr.Broughton and Mrs. Distant, were saying good-bye to all their students. When Elizabeth walked out, they all put their hands in together and yelled, "Go Team Z!" They said that they remembered the girls and I doing it on the first day of school. It was very cute to watch. We had to say farewell to Mrs. Nichols, Elizabeth's First grade teacher. She is moving and we will miss her. I feel lucky that Elizabeth has had such terrifc teachers.

Rachel and Elizabeth were in the ballet of Alice in Wonderland put on by Evergreen Dance Academy. Rachel was a key that helped get Alice in and out of Wonderland. Elizabeth was a Bread and Butterfly. They both did a wonderful job. Rae's class did a ballet number and a tap dance one as well. Elizabeth's class truly flutter and flew all around the stage. I love my ballerinas.

Love the "Team Z." So cute! And, what pretty ballerinas. Maybe the next time we are all in SV, all the ballerina cousins could perform for us :)

Welcome to Blogland, Karen. They are fun, but they are also a time-suck. I think of it as my family journal. It's fun to keep in touch, eh?

looks good. Glad you told me to start one too. I'm lovin' it. The girls are, "oh so cute." Ashlee thinks that's Rachel's boyfriend in the picture. But I clarified that.

Jord,

Stacey's little girl is in the 1st picture. She's the one on the left. Wait, do you mean Stacey L. or Stacey C.?
