Projects, Performances, and Field trips

I am not sure how your end of the school year is, but our last month is filled to the brim with end of the year wrap up stuff. A big thanks to my friends and neighbors. I still wasn't able to lift S at this point. So, in order for me to attend they would come pick the two of us up and attend with us, or watch S so I could attend. It was a group effort. E even didn't tell me about some of her events because she thought it was too much work. So mature and sad at the same time.
H as a butterfly in her music class performance(JR took us)
E's state float- It's Louisiana y'all!

R on a field trip to a play (Thanks to Nic for the pic)

H's field trip got rained out so the teachers invited the parents to a picnic as a make up.

H's field day
R's cultural festival. She represented Denmark.

I am missing pictures from E's marimba concert and R's class play.

Memorial Day Rafting 2012

Every year we go rafting with our neighbors. I didn't go this year, but I did go get them sent off.

These pictures are on the river. Thanks to our neighbor, Doug.
JR and his boat of girls.
He was a real sport. He was by himself and offered to take our friends 3 girls that are the same age as our girls. Here he is with the 2 Third graders and 2 First graders.
M.S., E.Y., our E, and B.J.
The 11 year old girls felt very mature. It was their first year manning a raft with no adults.

They had a great time on the river and then we ended the day with a barbecue at the Reids. It was the perfect kick off to summer time.

Track 2012

E and R participated in the elementary schools track meet. They both had a great time and were pleased with their results. E ran the 400m, hurdles, 100m, running long jump, and relay.
R ran the 100m, 200m, long jump and soft ball throw.

Mother's Day 2012

All my treasures and gifts of love. It was a great day. I was well taken care of. I heard 3 of my girls sing to me in church. I was given poems and other heartfelt gifts.

Dear Blogworld I miss You

While I was sleeping, the world kept going round. Now, I need to get this blog caught up so everyone can know what the rest of the family was doing while I laid in that chair. I was reading other blogs last night and realized how long it has been.

OK, I know it is a horrible picture of me but I had to include it. This was a week post surgery. I was feeling so much better I was doing homework with H while Karen cooked breakfast. Reality check--I might have felt better but I looked horrible and if you look close you can see I am pushing H away because even her sitting close was too much pressure.

A Yankee Doodle Dandy Day

To celebrate our Nation's birthday, my parents and 2 siblings came to my house. This is the first time we have all been together since my parents left 18 months ago.
The whole gaggle decked out in red, white, and blue

My SIL, Reva, brought strawberry rhubarb pies. The pies even had stars on them. The girls and I made patriotic rice krispie treats and brownies.

The youngest 3 looking cute and hanging out.

Look Who is Home!

My parent returned from serving their mission in the Bay Area. They served for 18 months working with the Filipino and Chinese people there. They served those in need, taught English classes and helped testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Well done, Mom and Dad. Welcome home!
