R recently celebrated her birthday. She loved all her presents, despite my worries I posted about earlier. She loved her outfits she was sent. She loved the Little Miss books and the pig puzzle. Don't worry Grandma did take her to the store and bought her a Zhu Zhu pet.
On her birthday, I was able to take her out to lunch. It was just the two of us. First, we went and saw her old teacher. R really wanted to see her for her birthday. I guess when you have the same teacher for two years they can have a big effect on your life. Then, we headed to this cute 50s diner. The owner goes to church with us, so he came to our table and gave R some quarters for the jukebox. When he found out it was her birthday, we were treated to exceptional serve and a hot fudge sundae with lots of sprinkles!
That night R headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for a sleepover. She decided she wasn't ready to stay alone so sisters and I headed over there for a slumber party as well. The next day we had "Grandma waffles" (homemade waffles with strawberries and whip cream). We went to the toy store. Then we had lunch at Red Robin, of course. After lunch, R and Grandpa made cupcakes. Then we all (Beth and her kids as well) headed to the pumpkin patch.
Here are the only pictures I took of the whole weekend.

I choose this one

H-Look what I found

A-I like this one.

Dainty girls, dainty pumpkins...I guess.
Anyway, the weather was fantastic. It was bright and sunny. It was one of those days you just look around and are in awe of this beautiful world we live in.
