Oops!?

H- "Mommy, I am sorry but the paper slipped and I accidentally got some pen on me."
Me- "Oh, okay. Come show me so we can get it of."
H comes around the corner and I see H's leg.

Me- "H that doesn't look like an accident. Look, it covers your whole leg. Plus, you have shapes like circles everywhere."
H- "Those aren't circles, Mommy. Those are rectangles!"

For the Beauty of the Earth...

E- capturing some fall foliage

It might be hard to see, but there's a rainbow.

Where we live there is a lot of rain in the Fall. The best is when there is rain and sun breaks, then there are rainbows. The girls noticed the rainbow this day and wanted a picture to remember it. It was quite vivid in real life, but didn't photograph very well.

Who Will Join Me?

JR's aunt put this on her blog. I think it is a terrific idea. I plan on participating. I hope you will too.
"A couple of years ago, I read the Book of Mormon in two months by reading 10 pages a day. Recently, my friend reminded me of what a powerful experience it is. So I was thinking I would like to read it that way again. I am going to begin November 1 and read 10 pages a day and I will complete my reading on Christmas Eve. Isn't it perfect? I feel like it will really enrich my holiday season. Would anyone in blog land be interested in reading it this way too? Who will join me? "

It's Heaven To Be Seven

R recently celebrated her birthday. She loved all her presents, despite my worries I posted about earlier. She loved her outfits she was sent. She loved the Little Miss books and the pig puzzle. Don't worry Grandma did take her to the store and bought her a Zhu Zhu pet.

On her birthday, I was able to take her out to lunch. It was just the two of us. First, we went and saw her old teacher. R really wanted to see her for her birthday. I guess when you have the same teacher for two years they can have a big effect on your life. Then, we headed to this cute 50s diner. The owner goes to church with us, so he came to our table and gave R some quarters for the jukebox. When he found out it was her birthday, we were treated to exceptional serve and a hot fudge sundae with lots of sprinkles!

That night R headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for a sleepover. She decided she wasn't ready to stay alone so sisters and I headed over there for a slumber party as well. The next day we had "Grandma waffles" (homemade waffles with strawberries and whip cream). We went to the toy store. Then we had lunch at Red Robin, of course. After lunch, R and Grandpa made cupcakes. Then we all (Beth and her kids as well) headed to the pumpkin patch.

Here are the only pictures I took of the whole weekend.

R deciding on which pumpkin

I choose this one

H-Look what I found

A-I like this one.

Dainty girls, dainty pumpkins...I guess.
Anyway, the weather was fantastic. It was bright and sunny. It was one of those days you just look around and are in awe of this beautiful world we live in.

R's Early B-day

JR was out-of-town on R's actually b-day. So, she opened the presents from us early.

A new dress

Some more new clothes

A candy jewelery making machine

And slip on shoes. So fun!

J Crew Pictures

You might remember my family took pictures this summer when we were all together. It was 104 degrees when we had our pictures taken. We were all melting!
Here are a few pictures from that day.
