J. Crew

Being with the J. Crew is like a quiet walk in the woods...

Time to reflect and just enjoy family togetherness...

To smile and soak in the moment...

When the craziness let's loss, because we are all together!!!

Uncle Trent dares the girls to sit on the toilet.

"Am I really suppose to be up here?"

"So, I am sitting here. What's the big deal? Now, I am Queen of the Castle!"

"We are the dinosaures, Marching, Marching!"

We are being paleontologist. We get to dig, brush, and discover our own dinosaur bones.

Now, we are discovering the animal inside of each of us. Grandma was suppose to be named Farmer McGregor, but she ended up being a girl.

Live action shot: animals in motion.

Silver Falls

The family leaving on a hike, lead by the famous explorer... Uncle David.

Thanks to my ankle, I couldn't hike to the falls. So, Reva and Sabrina stayed to keep me company.

The Best Backyard Ever!

David and Reva took us over to some of their friends to play in their backyard. It turns out the yard has a huge play structure, a trout pond, a bass pond, a paddle boat, a row boat, a stream with sand toys, benches, and a hammock in the shade. It was fun to explore their yard.

Grandpa Tom fishing, as always!

Uncle Trent teaching Hannah how to fish. Hannah loving her first time fishing.

The girls enjoying the paddle boat rides around the pond. The famous explorer, Uncle David, leads this outing as well.

Swinging, is there any great pleasure in the whole world!

Watch out Tarzan!

You're never too old to dig in the dirt.

"When you come to the end of a perfect day!"

Elizabeth is smitten with Punkin. She keeps trying to convince us that we need a dog. I was so blunt I told her it was Dad or a dog. She chose having a dog!!! I had to veto that vote.

O2BNSV

As always, Team Z spent a fabulous week with other memebers on the Team in lovely Sun Valley, ID.

Our first night we watched the amazing ice skating show. Brain Boitano was the guest star. It was so cool to be that close to him. BUT my highlight of the show was when one of the skaters dressed up like Kenny from "South Park". My 12 year old nephew was beside himself laughing out of control. That was definetly the most interesting thing to watch that whole night.

Monday, we tried something new and rode the chairlift up Mt Baldy. We enjoyed the view and ate lunch at the top. I think the girls were never comfortable up there. They were convinced someone would fall; no one did. We all made it down safe.

Grandpa Mike, Rachel, Hannah, and JR all smiles on the chairlift.

Here we are at Look Out Cafe, holding on for dear life.

The view of the valley on the ride down.

The rest of the week was filled with the usual activities...

- Bike Riding

Look out for this bikers gang!

- Ice Skating

JR and Hannah making the way around the rink. My ankle kept me off the ice this year.

Zach posed like this and wanted a picture. I'm not sure why, but I was happy to take the pic.

A little skating, a little talking, a little bike riding all mixed together.

- Swimming

Ah, the VIRGIN Pina Coladas at the round pool.

- Bowling

Jake keeping score the old fashion way.

JR giving Elizabeth some pointers.

Rachel bowling "granny" style.

Rachel's post bowling celebration, everytime she bowled.

- Horse Back Riding

Zach, Elizabeth, Syd and Alli ready for adventure.

Elizabeth's first time on a horse.

The lone adult on the trip. Horseback riding is a good activity with a sprained ankle, right?

- Golfing, Shopping, the Candy Store, Feeding the Swans

The new course, thanks for the pic Jon.

Feeding the swans took on an element of danger this year when some of the cousins tried to lead the swans as close to us as possible with a trail of food.

- Spending time with family

All cozied up together, probably watching the Jonas Brothers.

Grand Patty, Grandma Jill, lovely Rachel, and Grandma Jeanne.

Ken and Jen. She REALLY wanted her picture taken.
Girl Power, watch out boys!

Feeling Nostalgic

The last two weeks we have spent time with Team Z and J Crew. Last night we were talking about those who have passed on. Then today I was looking at a friend's blog and saw Cheif Mountain. I thought I should mention that I have had fun being with family, but I miss going to my grandparents.

I use to look at this mountain from their front window.
